Philanthropy and Service
Zeta Tau Alpha has always prided itself on the amount of service its members commit. Our fraternity has had many worthwhile causes over the year, but perhaps the most influential has been our participation in the fight againist breast cancer.
Our involvement began in 1992 with the Susan G. Komen foundation, and has now expanded to include many different breast cancer causes. Zeta Tau Alpha's philanthropy is breast cancer awareness and education. In 1994, Zeta Tau Alpha trademarked the "Think Pink" slogan we now use in all philanthropy dealings.
Since 1992, ZTA collegiate and alumnae women have handed out more than 9.8 million shower cards, one-in-eight stickers, and pink ribbons at many events throughout the country. Zetas everywhere participate in The Komen Race for the Cure events, courage nights, NFL games, and the Yoplait "Save Lids to Save Lives" programs.
As ZTA alumnae, we are proud of the efforts of our national fraternity and always do all we can to raise awareness and further the cause in the Southwest Missouri area. In addition to our work with the ZTA national philanthropy, we strive to make a difference in our community by reaching out to many local organizations and causes.

Philanthropy Projects
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so Zeta alumnae and collegiate members are busier than ever!
You can help by collecting your pink Yoplait lids and sending them to the Springfield alumnae chapter, or ZTA International Office.
In 2011, our alumnae chapter collected 365 lids! This was a huge increase over the year before.
